Curinos, a global data intelligence firm serving the financial industry, will relocate its headquarters to Marx Realty's 10 Grand Central building following the signing of a 14,000 square foot lease. This information was reported to Commercial Observer. Curinos is moving from its current offices at 485 Lexington Avenue, approximately two blocks north of the new location. The exact timing of the move is yet to be determined. The lease for the two partial spaces is for a term of ten years, according to sources.

The agreement includes one of the smaller spaces on the third floor of the building, measuring 5,176 square feet, which the firm will occupy in autumn 2023. The remaining 8,875 square feet on the fourth floor will be leased by Curinos, as currently planned, in early 2024. A spokesperson for Curinos confirmed the relocation but declined to provide further details.

Curinos was formed in 2020 through the merger of Novantas and Informa Financial Intelligence and is a company specialising in the collection and analysis of financial data for banks and other lenders, with the aim of assisting them in product development and decision-making. The firm employs approximately 400 staff across North America and Europe.

Jeffrey Newman, Managing Partner at Newmark, and Michael Cohen, Vice Chairman at Newmark, represented Curinos during the lease negotiations. Marx Realty was represented in-house by CEO Craig Deitelzweig and Vice President Agustín Díaz. Both brokerage firms declined to comment on the transaction.

10 Grand Central, a 35-storey building at 155 East 44th Street, has undergone extensive modernisation by Marx Realty. The building, which began 107 years ago as office space for Grand Central’s Vanderbilt maintenance yard, now comprises 360,000 square feet. Since its acquisition by Marx Realty in 2018, an investment of 48 million dollars has been made in the building for modernisations, which include a hotel-style lobby with a library and fireplace, and a 'Club Floor' with a lounge and conference rooms. The ownership team is pursuing WELL Health-Safety Rating certification for the building. The lifts and a portion of the office spaces have also been renovated.

  • Modernised hotel-style lobby with library and fireplace.
  • Exclusive 'Club Floor' with lounge and conference rooms.
  • Targeting WELL Health-Safety Rating certification.
  • Comprehensive lift renovation and office space refurbishment.

Other tenants at 10 Grand Central include the law firm Wiggin and Dana, private equity firm Consensus, and real estate private equity fund Meadow Partners.
