EGC Energie- und Gebäudetechnik-Control will operate under the name FASTR in future to sharpen its positioning as a nationwide energy service provider in the real estate sector. The rebranding signals a new phase of growth for the company, which focuses on the decarbonisation of the real estate industry and associated energy infrastructures. The new brand identity is intended to underpin a solution-oriented and integrated service for customers from the real estate industry, as well as for municipalities and public utilities.
FASTR supports customers throughout the entire life cycle of energy infrastructures. This extends from planning and implementation to financing and operation. With the claim “Energy. That lasts.”, the company underscores its commitment to long-term partnerships and reliability in the context of the energy transition. This realignment is a consistent step in the company's development, based on 25 years of operational experience in energy contracting.
Strategic Alignment and Partner Integration
The partnership with KKR last year marked the beginning of a strategic realignment designed to develop EGC from a regional player into a nationwide market pioneer. FASTR sees itself as a partner that reduces complexity and makes decarbonisation economically plannable and operationally manageable, as Jean-Marc Bazenet, CEO of FASTR, explains. Jens Goldmund, Head of Sales at FASTR, complements this perspective by emphasising the importance of strategy and consistent implementation over individual technologies to create added value that goes beyond mere energy supply.
As part of this realignment, initial transformative steps have already been taken. The management board was strengthened with the appointment of Reiner Schuster as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Schuster brings more than 20 years of experience in M&A, financing, restructuring, and transformation. In parallel, FASTR is pushing ahead with the integration of BayWa Energie Dienstleistungs GmbH, which will be fully absorbed into FASTR by summer 2026. The BayWa Energie Dienstleistungs GmbH brand will consequently no longer be used.
By consolidating activities under a unified platform, FASTR will be able to operate nationwide with a technology-agnostic portfolio, which includes heat pumps and biomass heating systems, among other things. Reiner Schuster emphasises that these steps position FASTR as financially stable and future-proof, creating a platform that combines growth, integration, and operational excellence. FASTR thus positions itself as a partner for housing companies, institutional real estate investors, districts, and municipalities by combining technical, economic, and regulatory requirements in integrated solutions to ensure effective processes, operational reliability, and stable energy costs.
