Elysee Investments has acquired a relatively new and fully let shopping centre for US$28 million. The property is located near the Waterford Business District in Miami and is named Blue Lagoon Shoppes. The acquisition was announced by author Julia Echikson on 28 September 2026.
The property, spanning 29,205 square feet (approx. 2,713 square metres), is situated at 1101 Northwest 57th Avenue, directly within the business district, south of Miami International Airport. The 250-acre Waterford Business District is home to the headquarters of major companies such as Burger King, Subway and Lennar Homes.
Strategic Location and Attractive Tenant Mix
The Blue Lagoon Shoppes feature 13 tenants, including prominent brands like Starbucks, Chipotle, Panera Bread, Jersey Mike’s, BankUnited and Panda Express. This tenant structure significantly contributes to the stability and attractiveness of the property. Mario Borda of Borda Commercial Real Estate represented Elysee Investments in this transaction. On the seller's side, Keystone Holdings Group, John K. Crotty, David Duckworth and Brian C. de la Fé from Avison Young were involved.
Brian C. de la Fé of Avison Young stated in a release regarding the sale: “Today’s top-performing retail investments combine necessity service tenants with an irreplaceable location.” He further explained that the Blue Lagoon Shoppes fulfil both through its nationally credit-rated tenant roster, full occupancy and strong location. Keystone Holdings Group had only completed the 2.4-acre (approx. 0.97-hectare) property in 2021.
Focus on Retail Properties
Elysee Investments specialises in retail properties in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. In 2024, for example, the investor acquired a 6.7-acre (approx. 2.7-hectare) grocery-anchored property in Aventura for US$48 million. Representatives from Elysee Investments and Keystone Holdings Group were not immediately available for comment.
