The ABC-Tower in Cologne has reached full occupancy of its office space. PROXIMUS ASSET MANAGEMENT GmbH, which has managed the property since 2018, concluded two major transactions in the building to achieve 100% occupancy. Alongside the expansion of an existing tenant, a new commercial occupier was secured for the office complex.

Deutsche Post forms a key part of this development. The company is expanding its existing space by around 1,200 square metres to a future total of approximately 6,600 square metres of office space. As part of this expansion, the existing lease was extended on a long-term basis, strengthening the tenant's commitment to the location.

In addition, ANDRITZ Separation GmbH is moving into the property. The company has signed a lease for around 1,000 square metres of office space. With these two transactions, all available office units in the building are now fully occupied.

Strategic asset management and tenant retention

PROXIMUS ASSET MANAGEMENT regards the recent transactions as confirmation of its long-term leasing and asset management strategy. The focus centres on ongoing dialogue with tenants, tailored space concepts, and the continuous enhancement of the building stock. In this way, the company secures long-term tenant relationships and keeps the property competitive even in a challenging market environment.

Birgit Riethmüller, Managing Partner of PROXIMUS ASSET MANAGEMENT GMBH, explained that space expansion and re-securing existing tenants cannot be taken for granted in the current market environment. She noted that this reflects the tangible benefit of active management, whose primary goal is developing tailored solutions jointly with occupiers.
