Potsdamer Platz in Berlin is experiencing a significant expansion of its gastronomic offerings through the integration of two new concepts. This development aims to diversify the culinary options for visitors and residents. With BOHNEVILLE and Mundo, different gastronomic approaches are being established, complementing the location's profile with an urban café culture and traditional Spanish cuisine.
Mundo: Mediterranean Cuisine
The Mundo concept, originally founded in 2003 as a family restaurant in Alt-Mariendorf, represents an established Spanish gastronomy in Berlin. The intention is to present authentic flavours of the Iberian Peninsula at Potsdamer Platz. This is achieved through the use of traditional recipes passed down through generations. The restaurant aims to convey a Mediterranean ambience and culinary experiences that reflect the Spanish way of life.
BOHNEVILLE: Urban Coffee Culture and Art
BOHNEVILLE establishes a concept at Potsdamer Platz that combines fresh coffee, baked goods and an urban aesthetic. The focus is on combining coffee culture with art and a contemporary lifestyle. The offerings include coffee specialities, hot drinking chocolate, and chocolate from their own manufactory. Additionally, freshly baked goods, cakes and tarts, inspired by international confectionery traditions, are offered daily. The drinks menu is completed by tea, wine, Aperol Spritz and Berlin beer.
These expansions contribute to the attractiveness of Potsdamer Platz as a central location. By implementing BOHNEVILLE and Mundo, a wider target audience is addressed, strengthening the area's gastronomic infrastructure and highlighting its function as an urban meeting point. The strategic integration of these concepts reflects the endeavour to ensure a diverse and high-quality offering that meets both local needs and tourist requirements. The new openings position Potsdamer Platz as a dynamic and versatile place for gastronomic experiences.
