The Lindhorst Gruppe has entered into an agreement with Goldbeck Parking Services GmbH for the operation of the underground car park at the Ems-Quartier in Meppen. Goldbeck Parking Services will thus become the central point of contact for users of the total of 468 parking spaces. The mediation of this transaction, as well as the recent lettings to MediaMarkt, was carried out by HBB Centermanagement GmbH & Co. KG.
Alicia Chiara Schneider, Junior Project Manager at Ems-Quartier Meppen GmbH, emphasised that Goldbeck Parking Services, an expert in parking management, had been secured. The company brings innovative solutions for operation, parking technology and billing, which align well with the overall concept of the Ems-Quartier. The underground car park will be made accessible to all parking customers after the completion of still-required construction measures, in parallel with the reopening of the Ems-Quartier. Ems-Quartier Meppen GmbH is now entering into final discussions for the allocation of the last ten per cent of the available space and particularly invites regional retailers to make contact.

He expressed his pleasure at being part of the future development of the Ems-Quartier. The aim is to make parking between the railway station and the old town comfortable and attractive for customers through innovative parking management.
New Parking Concept at Ems-Quartier
The underground car park will remain closed until the final completion and opening of the Ems-Quartier. Subsequently, it will be available with two barrier-controlled entry and exit terminals for guests of the Quartier and long-term parkers. E-charging points and Wi-Fi hotspots are also planned. Goldbeck Parking Services will in future bill for parking duration based on automatic licence plate recognition via camera, thereby eliminating paper tickets. Payment for parking duration for visitors will be exclusively cashless via credit card, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or comparable cashless payment methods.
Attractive offers are planned for long-term parking customers. REWE customers will receive 60 minutes of free parking, while hotel guests will have a nightly flat rate available. Fitness studio members can park for free for 120 minutes during a workout session. The detailed parking costs for guests of the Ems-Quartier as well as the long-term parking tariffs will be communicated well in advance of the opening via the website goldbeck-parking.de. As part of the refurbishment of the underground car park, some of the signage will also be renewed. Additionally, the car park will be connected to the Goldbeck Parking Services central control room, which provides a support team available 24/7 for parking customer enquiries.
