Greenopeak GmbH is experiencing continuous growth in the sector of commercial and industrial photovoltaic rooftop systems. Since the beginning of this year, projects with a total capacity of almost 7,900 kWp have been completed. Concurrently, systems with a capacity of approximately 10,300 kWp are currently under construction nationwide. For the second half of the year, projects totalling around 12,800 kWp are already planned.
These developments underscore Greenopeak's increased presence in the German market for photovoltaic rooftop systems in industrial and commercial buildings. A key aspect of project planning is the integration of energy storage solutions, particularly battery storage systems, for the direct utilisation of the generated solar power.
Flexible Approaches and Existing Customer Care
The company offers a range of solutions to meet the diverse requirements of business customers. In addition to direct purchase and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects, joint ventures, roof lease models, and sale-and-lease-back options are offered. This allows companies to implement photovoltaic systems in accordance with their specific economic and strategic parameters.
System sizes vary from smaller units up to 500 kWp to large installations of almost 3.5 MWp. Frank Bernlochner, Managing Director at Greenopeak, emphasised that tailored solutions are indispensable given the diverse challenges in the corporate environment. A significant portion of the current project pipeline includes extensions for existing client relationships. For Hillwood Germany, for example, additional photovoltaic rooftop systems amounting to several thousand kilowatt-peak are being planned. Greenopeak has successfully completed projects on the rooftops of this logistics developer in recent years. The planned extensions demonstrate the continued demand for photovoltaic capacity in the industrial and commercial sector, as well as the stability of the Nuremberg-based company's partnerships.
Company Development and Market Presence
In parallel with the expansion of project activities, Greenopeak is experiencing internal growth. In the current financial year, additional employees have been hired in the areas of project development, planning, and implementation. This team reinforcement serves to meet the increasing demand for commercial photovoltaic solutions. The company will also be represented at this year's Intersolar in Munich to foster direct exchange with interested parties and partners.
