GWH Wohnungsgesellschaft mbH Hessen has acquired a residential portfolio in Cologne-Lindenthal. This comprises 288 residential units and four commercial units, as well as a total of 284 parking spaces. The acquisition is spread across several properties in an established residential area of the district.

The portfolio consists of two smaller building complexes and one larger central building complex. The addresses include Classen-Kappelmann-Straße 32 and Dürener Straße 84–86, supplemented by Classen-Kappelmann-Straße 26–30a. The area balance shows a residential area of approximately 17,571 square metres and about 610 square metres of commercial space.

In addition to the usable areas, 246 underground parking spaces and a further 38 outdoor parking spaces are part of the transaction. The properties are located in a sought-after residential area in Lindenthal, a district known for its high-quality living. The properties have undergone extensive refurbishment in recent years, which underscores their condition and attractiveness for tenants and owners.

With this acquisition, GWH is expanding its local holdings in Cologne. The number of residential units managed by the company in the city increases from 1,026 to 1,314. This portfolio expansion creates additional synergy effects in the management of regional real estate holdings and strengthens GWH's position in Cologne. The strategic importance of the acquisition lies in the expansion of the portfolio in a stable and in-demand market.

The focus on refurbished properties in prime locations such as Lindenthal is part of GWH's long-term investment strategy. The increase in residential units in Cologne enables more efficient management and a bundling of resources, which can positively impact operational performance. The transaction underscores GWH's commitment to the Cologne real estate market and its aim to provide high-quality residential space.
