Former NBA basketball player Hassan Whiteside has found a buyer for his waterfront villa in Miami Beach. The estate was most recently listed for 14.8 million dollars. Whiteside acquired the property in 2016 during his time with the Miami Heat for 7.3 million dollars. He made an initial attempt to sell in 2025, one year after announcing his retirement from the professional league. In the period that followed, the house was repeatedly on the market, while the athlete moved to the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association for the 2025–26 season.
Custom features and sports areas
The three-storey residence is situated on a secured waterfront plot of around 17,676 square feet and offers a total floor area of 9,424 square feet with five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms. A paved driveway leads past covered parking spaces and garages to the main entrance. The white facade of the building forms a striking contrast with darker wall elements, flanked by a shallow reflecting pool and landscaped gardens.
Inside, the home cinema and the gym stand out in particular. The cinema room features dark walls, a ceiling with pinpoint lighting resembling a starry sky, a generous seating arrangement and framed sports memorabilia. An area previously used as a garage was converted into a fully equipped fitness room with mirrored walls, black flooring and red accent lighting.
