Effective 1st October 2026, Dave Welford has assumed the management of Lödige (United Kingdom) Limited and Northern Elevator Limited. This new appointment to the leadership position means that Welford, who previously served as Sales Director, now bears overall responsibility for the operational business of Lödige Industries in the United Kingdom and Ireland. He succeeds Michael Baul in this role, who will take on a new position within the Lödige Industries Group.
In his previous role, Dave Welford significantly contributed to business development and the expansion of customer relationships in the British market. This profound experience and existing networks form the basis for his future leadership function. As Managing Director, he will steer the strategic direction and growth of both companies in the aforementioned regions, while ensuring continuity in serving existing customers and tapping into new potential.
Continuity in Customer Service
Philippe De Backer, CEO of Lödige Industries, emphasised the importance of personal customer relationships. He stressed that it is crucial for customers to meet contacts who are intimately familiar with specific systems, projects, and requirements. In this context, Dave Welford's contribution to building many of these relationships was particularly acknowledged. De Backer stated that Welford's appointment sends a clear signal for continuity. Unchanged Corporate Structures
For customers, partners, and employees, the existing corporate structures remain unchanged. Both companies will continue their operations under their current names. The established locations and known contacts will also remain. Northern Elevator Limited has been an integral part of Lödige (United Kingdom) Limited since 2022. Together, the companies serve their clientele from their locations in Staines-upon-Thames, Leeds, Newcastle, and Dublin.
During his tenure as Managing Director, Michael Baul made significant contributions to the growth and further development of the British business. He remains within the Lödige Industries Group and will initially continue to work in the United Kingdom. Details of his future role will be announced at a later date.
