Urban Partners and HIH Invest have acquired a logistics project in Bremen as part of an already established joint venture. The transaction involves an area of approximately 90,000 square metres. The seller was a subsidiary of Justus Grosse Projektentwicklung, which possesses in-depth knowledge of the local market. This represents a significant investment in the German logistics sector.

The acquired property is located on a fully developed plot. The current buildings comprise existing hall areas that directly border a trimodal logistics hub. This connectivity allows for the use of road, rail, and waterways, which is of high strategic value for logistics processes.

Strategic Location and Planned Development

The property is part of the GVZ Bremen, one of the leading freight transport centres in Europe. This centre is characterised by its integrated connection to the Port of Bremen, thereby offering direct access to international trade routes. The infrastructure of the GVZ Bremen is tailored to the requirements of modern logistics and promotes efficient goods flows.

A project development is planned for the acquired plot. The proposed measures include the demolition of the existing buildings and the subsequent new construction of two logistics properties. The total volume of this new development is expected to encompass an area of approximately 45,000 square metres. It is planned that the buildings will have a height of around 12 metres and aim for a DGNB Gold certification, which underscores the commitment to high sustainability standards.

The completion of the logistics properties is scheduled for the end of 2026. This underlines the commitment of the partners involved to create modern and sustainable logistics space in a strategically important region. The investment reflects the continued confidence in the German logistics market.
