MPC Capital AG will operate under the name MPC Oceanic Group AG in the future. This decision was taken at the company's ordinary general meeting, where all proposed resolutions from the Executive Board and Supervisory Board were approved. The renaming signifies the strategic further development of the company into an integrated service and investment group, focusing on maritime economy and energy infrastructure.
The intended name change is designed to highlight the core orientation of the company's activities more clearly. While the established brand “MPC” will be retained, the addition “Oceanic” will concisely express the international focus and core of the business model. The formal completion of this process is planned for September 2026. At that time, the registration of the relevant general meeting resolutions in the commercial register is expected, after which the company will officially operate as MPC Oceanic Group AG.
Distribution of a dividend
In addition to the strategic realignment through the renaming, the general meeting also resolved to distribute a dividend. For the financial year 2025, a dividend of 0.27 Euro per share will be paid to shareholders. This results in a total distribution volume of approximately 9.5 million Euro.
The fixed dividend corresponds to a yield of 5.4 percent. A special tax feature of this distribution is that it is paid from the tax-recognised contribution account in accordance with Section 27 of the Corporation Tax Act, which means tax-free treatment for recipients. The detailed voting results of the general meeting and further relevant information are published on the company's website.
Strategic implications
The renaming and the associated sharpening of the company's profile underscore the ambition to further expand its position as a specialist in maritime infrastructure and energy investments. This strategic adjustment reflects the continuous development and the specific areas of expertise that are significant for the company's long-term value creation. The clear articulation of these focal points is intended to provide both external partners and investors with a more precise understanding of the business model and to solidify the company's market positioning.
