Live entertainment platform Fever and producer Exhibition Hub have announced the launch of "The Dream Rooms" in Munich. This immersive concept invites individuals to delve into the theme of the dream world through a sequence of interactive and multisensory installations. Interested individuals can already register for access.
The experience is designed to reactivate a sense of wonder and discovery. It guides visitors through the different phases of dreaming, starting from the threshold of consciousness and reaching into the deep regions of the subconscious. A total of ten individually designed rooms are planned, each addressing specific emotional and sensory states. The integration of light, sound, specific textures, and large-scale installations enables comprehensive immersion in each environment.
Design and Immersive Components
Key elements of the experience include "Dream Drift", a walk-through introduction to the subconscious, and the "Disco Pit", which stands out with its energetic design. The "Descension Chamber" was conceived by London-based light artist Frankie Boyle. The "Valley of Feelings" offers a tactile component with over 300 beanbags arranged into hills. The "Duck Den" presents itself as a surreal installation with a large-format duck ball pit. The "Reflection Realm" is intended as a mirroring fantasy world for self-reflection.
For VIP ticket holders, the "VR Pool" will be accessible, representing the world's first virtual reality experience within a ball pit. This concept combines physical interaction with digital immersion to generate a new form of immersive storytelling. Grant Dudson, Global Creative Director at Fever Originals, stated that "The Dream Rooms" was created to revive a feeling that many adults have lost over time: the feeling of discovering something for the first time and experiencing a fresh impulse. This is an invitation to explore the unknown and let go of logic, analogous to the experience in dreams.
Musical Accompaniment and Interaction
Each room within "The Dream Rooms" is equipped with specially composed musical pieces designed to amplify the emotional impact. The soundtrack was created in collaboration with Jonatan Bäckelie, an experienced producer and composer. The musical design seamlessly transitions visitors between energetic and introspective environments. One room integrates a sound frequency of 528 Hz, which is used in contexts of meditation and relaxation, to encourage conscious perception of the space.
Interactive elements such as large-format ball pits, tactile installations, and visually sophisticated presentations are at the heart of the experience. Areas like the "Dream Corner" offer opportunities for reflection and expression of one's own dream worlds, complemented by integrated photo spots. "The Dream Rooms" is aimed at all age groups, but focuses particularly on adults who wish to revitalise their curiosity, creativity, and imagination. The overall experience has an estimated duration of approximately 90 minutes and is designed as a fully immersive journey intended to dissolve the boundaries between reality and the subconscious.
