The Wiesbaden-based full-service agency STERN, specialising in real estate communication, is supporting the establishment of a new location initiative in Frankfurt-Praunheim. STERN is known for establishing and operationally managing such associations of property owners, which pursue the strategic enhancement of locations. As early as 2009, the agency founded the "MertonViertel Frankfurt am Main Location Initiative", which is considered the first privately organised community of its kind in Germany. In recent years, STERN has established, led or advised a total of seven such initiatives from Stuttgart to Düsseldorf.
The latest assignment takes the company back to the Rhine-Main region. In Praunheim, an initiative has formed from various companies, whose goal is the joint enhancement of the district. A key focus here is on the planned urban development measure in western Frankfurt. Praunheim, a district in the north-west of Frankfurt, is characterised by established structures and a high quality of life near Nidda-Park.
Aims and participants of the initiative
The founding members and sponsors of the initiative are composed of landowners who own plots around the Alte Ziegelei in Praunheim. This area is considered ideal for the swift development of new housing. The initiators and supporters include the P+B Group, Gerüstbau Paul, Quadro and the Gebhart family. Their common concern is to provide impetus for the further development of the district, to utilise existing potential and to strengthen Praunheim as an attractive place to live and work.
- —Setting impulses for district development
- —Utilising existing potential
- —Strengthening Praunheim as a place to live and work
- —Focus on housing and citizen dialogue
A central aspect of the initiative is the creation of housing. Florian Hirt, spokesperson for the location initiative, emphasised that Frankfurt urgently needs new homes. He noted that the planned Urban Development Measure (SEM) does not represent an instrument for rapid progress. Another concern of the participating companies is the improvement of transport links.
Hirt criticised the current planning status regarding the new stop of the Regionaltangente West in Praunheim, which, according to him, would be built without direct residential development in the surrounding area. He pointed out that this was not the use of taxpayers' money that the citizens of Frankfurt wished for, and announced his intention to inform about such contradictions in city politics in the future.
