T
hree brothers from the prominent Alexander real estate family were arrested in Miami on Wednesday, charged with a string of sexual assault crimes that have sent shockwaves through East Coast high society. Oren and Alon Alexander, 37-year-old twins, and their older brother Tal, 38, are accused of using their wealth and influence to facilitate violent sex attacks on dozens of victims, according to a federal indictment.
The brothers were once hailed as "real estate royalty" for selling luxury homes to celebrities and the ultra-rich. They made headlines in 2013 with a Details magazine spread, and brokered the most expensive private home sale in Miami-Dade county at the time for $47 million. Oren and Tal founded their own real estate firm, Official, in 2022.
The Alexander brothers' father is an Israeli-born developer, and their mother is the CFO of Kent Security. Alon attended New York Law School after graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in criminal justice. Oren graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a finance degree, while Tal earned a marketing degree from Hofstra University.
The brothers' lavish lifestyle was on full display when they purchased a $10 million waterfront home in Miami Beach to tear down and rebuild in 2021. They have been known to travel extensively, attending high-end events like the Grand Prix in Monaco and Art Basel in Hong Kong.
