A
tlanta Housing's Chief Housing and Real Estate Officer, Alan Ferguson, is leaving the agency after a year in the role. Maya Hodari will take over as interim chief on August 1.

"It's been a privilege to serve Atlanta Housing," Ferguson said. "I'm proud of what we accomplished together, and I'm confident AH will continue delivering results for the people of Atlanta."

Under Ferguson's leadership, the agency made significant progress towards its goal of 10,000 more affordable housing units over six years. President and CEO Terri Lee praised Ferguson's expertise and leadership, saying he helped the agency stay focused on executing details and creating housing opportunities.

With a team including Lee and Ferguson, Atlanta Housing reached 40% of its 10,000-unit goal last year. The agency is now exploring alternative funding sources and "creative" approaches to build more units and increase its impact. Maya Hodari, who has over 25 years of housing experience, will take the reins as interim chief on August 1.
