uxury homebuyers in Austin are making a strong push to close deals before the year ends, driving $19.8 million in sales last week after a Thanksgiving slump. According to the latest Eklund Gomes luxury report, seven high-end homes were sold or went into escrow, with prices ranging from $2 million to $5.25 million.
Buyers are "finally willing to put pen to paper and secure a great deal before year end," says Michael Reisor of Douglas Elliman's Eklund Gomes team. The average days on market decreased by 33-78 days last week, indicating that buyers are eager to finalize purchases.
A Tuscan-style estate at 700 Brandon Way topped the list, selling for $5.25 million in the Seven Oaks subdivision. This six-bedroom home features a butler kitchen, wine cellar, and two-story library. Four of the seven deals were located in or around West Lake Hills, where land is scarce and expensive.
Other notable sales include a three-bedroom home at 314 Reveille Road, asking $2.8 million, and two modern homes in the Bouldin Creek area, each priced around $2.5 million. These transactions demonstrate that luxury buyers are active in the market as the year winds down.
