anesco USA has taken steps to manage its risk exposure by hiring Jose Morales as chief risk officer and executive vice president. In this new role, Morales will balance the bank's risk and business goals while ensuring responsible operations. Morales brings experience from Citigroup, where he worked on transformation enterprise risk management and global payments and LATAM risk management.
Meanwhile, residential agent teams are making moves in South Florida. The Bretzlaff Group has left Douglas Elliman to join Compass, bringing with them a combined $1 billion in sales over their careers. Led by Heather and Craig Bretzlaff, the team includes Scott Handler, Suzanne Hasner, and Lauren Zitter. They will be based in Compass offices in Jupiter and Palm Beach.
In other residential news, Brigitte Nachtigall and her team have joined One Sotheby's International Realty in Key Biscayne. The Nachtigall Team has closed over $1.5 billion in combined career sales and includes agents Jorge Boj and Olga Cuesta.
Additionally, Miami has a new director of its building department: Eduardo Santamaria. He was previously assistant city manager of Coral Gables until 2021.
