ravel Stays, the parent company behind global travel tech firm OYO, has agreed to purchase G6 Hospitality from Blackstone Real Estate for a reported $525 million. The deal is an all-cash transaction that marks a significant expansion for OYO in the US market.
Since its 2019 launch in the region, OYO has rapidly grown its presence across the country, now operating over 320 hotels in 35 states. In 2023 alone, the company added nearly 100 new properties to its portfolio and aims to add around 250 more in 2024. G6 Hospitality's Motel 6 franchise network generates substantial revenue, with gross room sales exceeding $1.7 billion annually.
