T
he Boston Society for Architecture has announced three finalists for the 2024 Harleston Parker Medal. Established in 1921 to honor J. Harleston Parker, this annual award recognizes the most beautiful piece of architecture built in metropolitan Boston over the past decade.
A jury of professionals selects the winner, while the public votes on a People's Choice Award. The two winners will be announced at the BSA Awards Gala on March 5 and revealed publicly on March 6. Proceeds from the gala benefit The BSA Foundation, which promotes innovation in the built environment through sustainability and social equity.
The finalists for this year's award are:
* Adams Street Branch of the Boston Public Library (2021) by NADAAA
* Harvard University District Energy Facility (2021) by Leers Weinzapfel Associates
* Roxbury Branch of the Boston Public Library Renovation (2020) by Utile, Inc.
The public can vote for their favorite piece of new architecture in Boston until February 7.
