A publicly-traded real estate investment trust has acquired the 96-unit HarborChase of Wilmington assisted living and memory care community from a Florida-based private equity firm for $18.5 million. The facility, located at 2004 Shipley Road near Fairfax, was purchased by Ventas Inc., headquartered in Chicago. This transaction marks another significant commercial real estate deal in New Castle County.
