olliers has appointed Christian Prelle as its new Head of Office Agency for the Bay Area, a role created to drive growth and enhance client service in the region. Prelle joins Colliers after 14 years at Newmark, where he held the position of executive managing director. He will be based out of Redwood City and is tasked with expanding Colliers' office agency practice and boosting its market position.
Prelle's hire follows the recruitment of Bryan Courson, a former executive managing director at Newmark, who joined Colliers earlier this year. Both Prelle and Courson bring significant experience to their new roles, having spent over 13 years each at Newmark. In his new role, Prelle will oversee a team of brokers and staff, leveraging the Colliers platform to drive growth and enhance relationships.
According to David Josker, president of U.S. West Region Brokerage at Colliers, Prelle's "servant leader approach aligns perfectly with Colliers' culture." Prelle expressed his enthusiasm for joining Colliers, citing its vision for company culture as a key factor in his decision. The hire is seen as a strategic move by Colliers to increase market share and enhance client service in the Bay Area.
Newmark has been actively recruiting top talent in an effort to become the leading commercial brokerage firm in the country. However, despite this investment, the company has experienced several high-profile defections in the Bay Area, including a major life science team that recently joined CBRE.
