acKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services has brokered the sale of 5410 Indian Head Highway, a 22,800 square foot office building in Oxon Hill, Maryland, to Harborview Properties for $2.3 million. The three-story building, acquired by former owner Indian Head Assets at auction earlier this summer, was listed with MacKenzie Commercial's David McClatchy handling the sale.
Harborview Properties, a commercial real estate arm of specialty dental practice Harborview Dental Associates, plans to occupy the building, which features 80 surface parking spaces and is near Interstates 295 and 495. Indian Head Assets, a Baltimore-based partnership investing in foreclosed properties, acquired the asset at auction.
"This transaction highlights the demand for strategically-positioned commercial office assets," said MacKenzie's David McClatchy. "With reduced investment sales volume due to high interest rates, owner-users are seeking compelling opportunities." McClatchy noted that Indian Head Assets and Harborview Properties demonstrated vision and resolve in pursuing and completing the deal.
MacKenzie Commercial Real Estate Services is a division of The MacKenzie Companies, which operates five full-service divisions addressing various real estate asset classes. The company provides customized solutions for institutional owners, investors, and individuals.
