amie MacNair, a local real estate agent with ties to Blue Hill, has acquired Compass Point Real Estate from former owner Danielle Davis. The deal was finalized on January 2, marking a new chapter for the agency. With seven agents and two administrative staff, Compass Point specializes in residential listings, as well as some commercial properties.
MacNair, a George Stevens Academy graduate of 1996, has been a real estate agent since 2003. She initially focused on Bucksport before joining Compass Point in 2012 to handle listings. In addition to her new role, MacNair is also the owner of Northern Bay Market in Penobscot.
As she takes the reins at Compass Point, MacNair acknowledged that balancing both jobs will be a challenge. However, she expressed confidence in her ability to multitask, citing her experience overseeing the agency's Blue Hill office and serving as president of the Maine Association of Realtors' mid-coast board.
The real estate market has been strong in recent years, but MacNair cautioned against predicting what 2025 will bring. She noted that inventory levels are currently a concern, with many buyers waiting for the right opportunity to strike once the weather breaks and the market picks up again.
