e're expanding our news team at CoStar and seeking entrepreneurial reporters to cover the residential housing market on Homes.com. As a respected source of real estate news for over two decades, we're looking for experienced journalists who can break news, generate scoops, and produce in-depth stories about the people, trends, and companies shaping the industry.

    This is an exciting opportunity for digitally oriented journalists to set the standard for coverage that appeals to our large and growing audience of homebuyers, sellers, and real estate professionals. Previous reporting experience covering real estate or general business topics at a general interest publication is a plus.

    The role will be based in our Dallas, TX office, where you'll work closely with our news, research, and analyst teams to ensure timely coverage across the markets we serve. Key responsibilities include:

    * Demonstrating expertise on the housing beat, following major industry trends, leaders, and companies

    * Collaborating with colleagues to produce stories tailored for web, email newsletters, social media, and other platforms

    * Cultivating a network of knowledgeable sources and staying up-to-date on relevant information services

    * Writing clearly and engagingly in AP style, while adhering to journalism ethics and standards

    We're looking for candidates with at least 2 years of reporting experience, preferably in business journalism. You should have a proven ability to break news, write compelling headlines, and work well under pressure. A portfolio showcasing your top work is required, along with a bachelor's degree or higher in journalism, communications, or a related field.
