Downtown Dallas office market sees significant boost with major lease deal

Jackson Walker expands lease at KPMG Plaza in Dallas Arts District, adding another floor.

ackson Walker, the second-largest law firm in the Metroplex by attorney count, has extended its lease at KPMG Plaza in the Dallas Arts District. The firm added another floor to its space in the 18-story tower at 2323 Ross Avenue, increasing its presence in the building to almost 148,000 square feet across six floors. CBRE's Phil Puckett and Jeff Ellerman represented Jackson Walker in lease negotiations, while Stream Realty Partners' Matt Wieser, J.J. Leonard, and Marissa Parkin represented the building's owner, Masaveu Real Estate US.

    This expansion marks a significant long-term investment in the Dallas Arts District, despite other firms reducing space or shifting operations to Uptown. Jackson Walker employs 397 people in the DFW area, including 222 attorneys in Dallas, and the additional space will enable the firm to bring on 50 more attorneys and 30 other staff members.

    KPMG Plaza is located near the Meyerson Symphony Center and Klyde Warren Park, offering amenities such as a fitness center and various dining options. Notable tenants include KPMG, Hall Group, and law firms like Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath and Bell Nunnally & Martin. Jackson Walker has increased its space in the building by nearly 50% since moving in as an anchor tenant in 2015.
