East Bay manufacturing project gains momentum with land acquisition

Advanced manufacturing project in Fremont makes key property purchase.

A
major milestone has been reached in Fremont's advanced manufacturing project, with a real estate firm purchasing the land needed for development. North Palisade Partners acquired the 4.2-acre property at the corner of Fremont Boulevard and Ice House Terrace for $6.8 million through an affiliate, according to documents filed on March 18.

The site, which will total 69,900 square feet once complete, is being marketed by Colliers commercial real estate brokers Dion Campisi and Edward Hofer as a potential hub for advanced manufacturing facilities. North Palisade Partners' John Peterson praised the city of Fremont's partnership in the project, citing a shared vision to revitalize the long-vacant parcel.

The property purchase follows the Fremont City Council's decision to rezone the land for industrial technology use. This new designation will enable the development of advanced manufacturing facilities and related operations. Fremont Mayor Raj Salwan welcomed the investment, highlighting its potential to attract high-tech companies that create jobs in the city.
