wo months ago at the Top of the Rock, Ed Bruehl met Ilija Pavlovic, president‑CEO of Christie’s International Real Estate Group, and pointed out a missed opportunity. Christie’s, the exclusive affiliate covering New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, had not fully tapped the Hamptons, Bruehl explained. Pavlovic urged him to act, and Bruehl did.

Last week the broker—nearly 20 years in the Hamptons luxury market and $1 billion in career sales—left Saunders & Associates after a decade and became managing director of Christie’s East Hampton office. His aim: broaden the brand’s reach by showcasing listings on the international stage.

“I’m excited,” Bruehl said Monday. “I’m not in a hurry; I let growth happen naturally, but I’m confident in my abilities.”

Originally from California, Bruehl started at Morgan Stanley in New York before moving to the East End in 2002, where he joined Sotheby’s International Realty. In both firms he was a top‑producing broker, praised for confidentiality, integrity and deep market knowledge.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ed,” Pavlovic said. “His career, drive and ethics align with Christie’s philosophy. He understands our global brand and local roots.”

To boost Christie’s visibility at 26 Park Place, Bruehl will launch a podcast, build a broadcast studio for his YouTube channel, and host community events—from starter homes in Springs to high‑end estates—upholding Christie’s commitment to excellence in every detail.
