A
luxurious duplex in Brooklyn Heights, previously rented by Ed Sheeran, is back on the market with a hefty asking price. The fully-furnished apartment at Toll Brothers' Pierhouse is listed for $38,000 per month, according to Compass. This isn't the priciest rental in Brooklyn this year, however - that distinction belongs to a Red Hook townhouse rented by Dennis Schröder for $40,000 monthly.
The 3,200-square-foot unit at 130 Furman Street features three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a private rooftop with Manhattan views. It was previously leased by Sheeran for $36,000 per month in 2023, making it the priciest rental in Brooklyn that year. The apartment's asking price is still steep, but according to Sarah Williams of Societe Real Estate, it's a relative bargain compared to similar rentals in Tribeca.
Williams notes that a unit with comparable size, views, and outdoor space in downtown Manhattan would likely ask closer to $58,000 per month. For comparison, a four-bedroom penthouse in Tribeca is asking $50,000 monthly, while a 3,000-square-foot unit at 56 Leonard Street asks $41,000.
Pierhouse, the building where the duplex is located, has attracted several high-profile residents since its launch in 2014. Amenities include access to services at the 1 Hotel, two fitness centers, and valet parking.
