quity Union Real Estate has broadened its presence on California’s Central Coast by adding Team Sweasey, a San Luis Obispo‑based group led by Hal Sweasey. The team will stay headquartered in SLO, becoming the brokerage’s 13th statewide office. With over 30 years in the local market and more than 3,100 closed sales, Sweasey’s team topped RealTrends Verified’s 2024 rankings for both transaction sides and sales volume in the county, closing over $141 million. “We’re excited to partner with a forward‑thinking firm like Equity Union,” Sweasey said. “The additional tools, technology, and support will help us serve clients at the highest level.”
Team Sweasey’s roster includes listing manager Sharon Benedik, escrow manager Dakota Bailey, customer‑service director Christina Peay, marketing director James Bueno, broker associate Graeme Baldwin, Realtor associates Stacie Kenny, Jordan Knauer, Jeff Thompson, and sales‑leadership consultant John Turner.
Equity Union’s Central Coast move follows a year of robust growth: 2024 saw $3.11 billion in sales across 3,639 transactions, with more than 950 agents operating from 13 offices. The region’s stable housing market—spanning residential, coastal, and inland properties—aligns with the brokerage’s strategy. CEO Harma Hartouni praised Team Sweasey’s integrity and expertise, noting the partnership will create “extraordinary opportunities for agents and unmatched service for clients.” The San Luis Obispo office will serve as a springboard for further expansion along the Central Coast.
