Glenn Sonnenberg Returns to USC Board of Trustees

USC alumnus and president of Latitude Real Estate Holdings returns to the board for a second term.

lenn Sonnenberg, a USC alumnus and president of Latitude Real Estate Holdings, has been appointed to the USC Board of Trustees for his second tenure. With over 30 years of finance and investment leadership experience, Sonnenberg brings a wealth of knowledge to the role.

    Sonnenberg's service to USC spans nearly four decades, including time on the Board of Trustees from 2003 to 2008. He is also a member of the USC Gould Board of Councilors and the USC Libraries Board of Councilors. As president of Latitude Real Estate Holdings, Sonnenberg serves on investment committees for two other real estate companies.

    "It is a pleasure to welcome Glenn back to the USC Board of Trustees," said Board of Trustees Chair Suzanne Nora Johnson. "Glenn is a highly respected real estate lawyer and investor with a long history of civic engagement."

    Sonnenberg expressed his enthusiasm for rejoining the board, citing USC's strengths in medicine, artificial intelligence, and other areas of cutting-edge research. He noted that he views this as a time of great opportunity for the university.

    Sonnenberg credits his Trojan relationships with helping him open doors throughout his career, which has spanned law, real estate finance, and real estate equity investment. His USC education played a foundational role in his success, inspiring him to give back through leadership, service, and philanthropy.

    As a member of the board, Sonnenberg hopes to leverage his strengths in strategy and planning to help position the university for success over the next few decades. He also aims to build community and increase civil discourse through his Substack blog "Musings Beyond the Bunker."

    Sonnenberg's dedication to service extends beyond USC, with involvement in various organizations such as Wayfinder Family Services, Bet Tzedek — The House of Justice, and de Toledo High School. He and his wife, Andrea, are also active philanthropists, focusing on education, teen and young adult mental health, services for underserved communities, and the arts.

    Sonnenberg currently serves as chairman of the board of Wayfinder Family Services and is a member of several other boards, including the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Children's Institute.
