Jerry Halsey Jr. has been appointed to the Arkansas State Highway Commissioner position by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. He will succeed Alec Farmer and serve a 10-year term ending on January 14, 2035. As founder, CEO, and president of Halsey Thrasher Harpole Real Estate Group, with offices in Jonesboro and Benton, Halsey brings significant experience to the role.
Halsey has previously held positions such as commissioner for the Arkansas Building Authority, chairman of the Jonesboro Metropolitan Area Planning Commission, and member of the Jonesboro Vision 2030 comprehensive planning advisory commission. He expressed gratitude to Governor Sanders for the appointment, stating, "I thank Governor Sanders for this opportunity to serve, and for her trust and confidence in me. I am excited and ready to go to work."
