Home sales up 4.9% in Q3 2025 | Texas Real Estate Center

AUSTIN – In Q3 2025, all but four Texas metros had higher home sales than Q3 2024.

ov 3 2025 – Austin. Texas’s Q3 2025 housing report shows that all but four metro areas recorded higher sales than the same period in 2024, with most surpassing the statewide 4.9 % rise. The state median price fell 1.5 % to $335,000; 14 markets saw price gains, 12 declines, half of which were under 2 %. Austin topped the list with the highest median, while Wichita Falls was lowest. Active listings increased in all but three metros, generally by ≥10 %; Abilene had the steepest listing drop yet the largest % jump in closed sales. Months of inventory grew from 4.7 to 5.5, indicating a balanced market. Average days on market rose 6 days statewide; Midland and Odessa led with 38 and 39 days.
