antor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick, who is President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for commerce secretary, is close to finalizing the purchase of Fox News anchor Bret Baier's luxurious French-style mansion in Washington, DC's Foxhall neighborhood. The property was originally listed for $31.9 million and has since been reduced to $28.99 million. The mansion, modeled after a French chateau, boasts five bedrooms, a marble fountain, a wine room, an indoor sports court, a game room, and a putting green. Baier and his wife have already relocated to Palm Beach, Florida, where they purchased a $37 million mansion. Lutnick, a prominent financial executive, owns other luxury properties in Manhattan and Bridgehampton, New York. The sale of Baier's mansion is expected to set a new record for the DC area's residential market, reflecting the growing demand for high-end properties in the area since Trump's election victory.
