A
house from the cult-classic "Home Alone" film has hit the market, but it's not the iconic McCallister residence where Kevin fought off burglars while his family was in France. Instead, this home is located at 681 Lincoln Ave. in Winnetka, Illinois, and makes a cameo appearance as "Old Man" Marley's house in the first film. Listed for $3.79 million, the three-story property boasts six bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, an in-ground pool, putting green, and half a basketball court.
Built in 1898 by renowned Chicago architect Benjamin Marshall, this home is one of only two in Winnetka designed by him. The listing features several patios, a screened-in porch, balcony, two staircases to the second floor, and an in-law suite. According to broker Annika Valdiserri, the current owners have lived there since 2003.
The home was initially listed for $4.19 million in July but has been taken off consumer sites like Zillow until January. The official "Home Alone" house next door at 671 Lincoln Ave. is also pending sale for $5.25 million.
