.P. Morgan Chase has tapped Burke Davis as its new head of real estate banking (REB), following Michelle Herrick's promotion to lead commercial real estate last month. Davis, who joined the bank in 2012, will report directly to Herrick and oversee key lending operations.
Herrick, who was initially promoted to REB head in late 2021 before becoming deputy head of CRE in March 2024, is set to take on a new role as vice chair for commercial banking on January 1. Davis has been with the bank since 2012, leading its real estate syndicated finance group for a decade before transitioning to the REB side in 2023.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Davis worked at Bank of America and predecessor firms LaSalle Bank and FleetBoston Financial. He holds an MBA in finance from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a bachelor's degree in economics from Bates College in Maine.
"I'm honored and excited to lead this talented team," Davis said in a statement. "Our REB team partners with innovative clients to build vibrant communities, and I look forward to working closely with clients nationwide to help them achieve their goals."
