entwood is leaving Union Station after two decades. The real estate brokerage will vacate its 6,000-square-foot storefront by the end of this year. CEO Gretchen Rosenberg said the sale of the space earlier this year gave them an opportunity to reassess their office needs.
Rosenberg noted that agents are no longer spending most of their days in the office and instead "drop in and out." As a result, the 35 agents and four staffers could be fine with half as much space. Kentwood is searching for a smaller location, considering spots in LoDo and downtown-adjacent neighborhoods like LoHi.
Rosenberg said ease of access is crucial since many agents don't live downtown and work throughout the metro area. The building, known as the Struby-Estabrook building, was built in 1885 and has been purchased by ZF Capital for $3.4 million.
The new owners have hired JLL broker James Roupp to find a replacement tenant. Roupp said the location is "one of the most visible and impactful" in downtown Denver, suitable for a flagship user looking to make a statement in LoDo.
