he Texas Stock Exchange is poised to launch operations from Weir's Plaza in Dallas' trendy Knox-Henderson district this spring, solidifying the city's reputation as "Y'all Street." The 12-story mixed-use building will serve as a temporary headquarters while the organization works towards becoming a fully functional stock exchange. The lease will be short-term, allowing the exchange to search for a permanent home in the heart of Dallas.
Weir's Plaza, developed by Four Rivers Capital at a cost of $155 million, features upscale amenities and retail tenants like Weir's Furniture and several restaurants. The area has attracted high-end retailers such as Apple, Trader Joe's, and Lululemon. Eventually, the stock exchange will be housed in the Texas Market Center, which will include executive offices and the Texas Business Museum.
The museum will preserve the history of Texas commerce and potentially partner with universities for research and artifact preservation. The exchange is seeking SEC approval to open for trading next year and offer listings by 2026. Dallas' transformation into a financial hub aligns with its nickname "Y'all Street," driven by developments like a $500 million Goldman Sachs campus, a 30-story Bank of America tower, and a $173 million office tower leased by Deloitte.
