eBron James's massive Beverly Hills mansion is nearing completion, five years after he first purchased the property. The 40-year-old Lakers star has been working on the project since 2020, when he bought the 2.5-acre plot for $39 million from television host Lee Phillip Bell and her husband.
The Mediterranean-inspired home was previously leased by Howard Hughes to his ex-girlfriend Katharine Hepburn in the 1950s. James razed the original 13,000-square-foot structure in 2023 after getting permits approved, and has since built a sprawling luxury compound with multiple levels, outbuildings, and a large guesthouse.
Aerial photos show slow but steady progress on the property, which is expected to become James's primary residence. The megamansion will feature an infinity pool, home theater, wine cellar, and indoor basketball court, providing ample space for James, his wife Savannah, and their three children, including son Bronny James.
The property has undergone significant changes since James purchased it in 2020, with the hilltop patch of dirt transforming into a multilevel compound over the past two years. The project's impressive progress is evident in recent photos, showcasing a tiered megamansion surrounded by scaffolding and neighboring a smaller abode with a finished facade.
