ee Proscia is taking the reins as President of Houses & Barns by John Libby, ushering in a new era for one of Maine's most iconic brands. The company's founder, John Libby, is retiring after 53 years at the helm and will continue to serve on the Board of Directors.
"We're built for the long haul," says Proscia, highlighting the company's commitment to its legacy. "For 50 years, Houses & Barns by John Libby has been a respected leader in timber frame building and general contracting in New England." Founded in Freeport, ME, in 1971 by Presque Isle-born Libby, the company is known for its high-quality craftsmanship and bespoke approach to building elegant homes and barns.
As President, Proscia sees his role as ensuring continuity of the company's traditions. With over 20 years of experience in Maine's construction industry, he brings a unique blend of business acumen and craft expertise to the position. After working as a cabinetmaker Down East and holding managerial roles at Wright-Ryan in Portland, Proscia was recruited by Libby in 2017 to lead operations.
"I'm incredibly proud of what we've built with our customers over the years," says Libby of his retirement. "Lee is well-equipped to take the company forward, combining a deep understanding of timber framing with strong business leadership."
