etflix has released a teaser for its upcoming dark comedy series No Good Deed, premiering December 12. The show, created by Liz Feldman, follows empty nesters Lydia and Paul (Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano) as they list their century-old home in Los Angeles' most desirable neighborhood.
The frenzy begins as multiple families vie to buy the dream house, convinced it will solve their problems. However, Lydia and Paul know that sometimes the home of your dreams can be a nightmare. As they try to hide dark secrets within their home, they realize the only way to escape the past is to face it head-on.
The teaser hints at these secrets with brief shots of people peeking through windows or holes in walls, a handgun, and Lydia and Paul surveilling buyers from a locked room. The cast also features Linda Cardellini, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, Teyonah Parris, and Luke Wilson.
No Good Deed was inspired by Feldman's experience "maniacally searching Zillow" during the COVID-19 pandemic. She executive produces with Silver Tree, who directed six of the eight episodes. The show explores themes of anxiety, secrets, and the darker side of the real estate market in Los Angeles.
