n a quest for the perfect home, Jennifer Eberline and her family embarked on an unconventional journey. With the guidance of realtor Andrea Hubbell and her husband Brian, a seasoned designer with HubbHouse, they transformed a neglected property into their dream abode.

    The story began in 2017 when Eberline was searching for more space to accommodate her growing family. Hubbell presented her with several options, but none seemed quite right until she showed her the Rugby Road house – an overgrown, dilapidated sprawl that needed love and attention. Despite initial reservations, the Eberlines were drawn to its potential.

    As they navigated the selling-and-buying process, HubbHouse's expertise proved invaluable. The first order of business was a thorough cleanup, followed by renovations aimed at optimizing space and flow. A hastily attached garage, built as an unattached structure, was reimagined to create a brighter, more functional kitchen.

    Brian Hubbell's design vision raised the 7-foot ceilings, introduced an enlarged exterior picture window, and incorporated pink terra cotta floors and white oak cabinets. The result was a space that felt airy and bright without altering the kitchen's footprint. "The challenge was making this space feel twice as big," Brian explained, highlighting the importance of thoughtful connections between old and new.

    Further renovations followed, including a revamped primary suite upstairs and a second bathroom remodel. In the basement, HubbHouse transformed a partially finished space into a gym, guest room, bathroom, and speakeasy – a project they affectionately call their "secret."

    Throughout the process, Eberline praised Brian's meticulous approach, saying he spent time understanding her family's needs and nuances of each project. The collaboration between HubbHouse and Dwell Construction ensured that the renovations stayed within budget constraints.
