Local Businesses Expand on Long Island with New Leases and Sales.

J Tutoring, a California-based learning center, is expanding into the New York metropolitan area with its recent acquisition of TestTakers. The company leased 5,100 square feet at 585 Plandome Road in Manhasset and plans to open this fall. Founded by Aaron Andrikopoulos and Joe Niederman in 2005, AJ Tutoring provides tutoring in various subjects, test preparation, and college admissions counseling.

    Herc Rentals, a provider of equipment and tools for the construction industry, has relocated from its long-time location at 208 Route 109 to a 15,210-square-foot industrial building on 4.09 acres at 80 Sherwood Ave. in Farmingdale. The building features 7,590 square feet of office space and two drive-in bays.

    Judy Bush purchased a 3,750-square-foot office building in Hewlett for $1.45 million to open a birthing clinic. The vacant building was delivered with .23 acres of land.

    Angela Guerra Skincare has opened its first Long Island location at 124 Main St. in Huntington, leasing a 1,246-square-foot office suite in the Village Greens Professional Building. The firm offers various services including Brazilian lymphatic drainage massage and facials.

    Hydronic Supply purchased the 5,132-square-foot retail building on .98 acres at 2077 Jericho Turnpike in Commack for $1.625 million to relocate from its current location.
