A
buyer from the San Francisco Bay Area has purchased Steve Wynn's former lakefront estate in Lake Tahoe for $62 million, setting a record for the region. The 12,700-square-foot mansion, known as Old Forge, was listed by Christine Perry of Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno at $76 million last year. The sellers, Nora Lacey and her husband Dr. Michael Lacey, bought the property in 2017 for $31 million and spent an additional $5 million on renovations.
The estate features a private beach, deep-water pier, boat hoist, and two buoys, as well as a four-bedroom main house with a primary suite, gourmet kitchen, media room, and outdoor living space. A three-bedroom guest house is also included. Located on sought-after Lakeshore Boulevard, Old Forge joins other high-end residences owned by billionaires like Larry Ellison.
The Lake Tahoe real estate market has stabilized since its pandemic boom peaked in 2021, but wealthy buyers remain drawn to the area's tax-friendly Nevada location. The sale of Old Forge follows a $47.5 million transaction on Lake Tahoe in August and underscores the region's growing popularity among Bay Area residents seeking luxury lakefront properties.
