acaulay Culkin, the former child star of "Home Alone," has parted ways with his Manhattan loft in New York's Noho neighborhood. The property, which he purchased at 19 for $1.75 million, sold off-market for a whopping $7.75 million.
Culkin bought the full-floor residence at 704 Broadway in 1999, featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and an expansive L-shaped living area. The building has a storied history as the former headquarters of the Socialist Workers' Party, converted into a livable space in the 1970s by Bruce Gitlin.
The actor held onto the property for over 25 years, despite getting divorced from soap star Rachel Miner just three years after purchasing it. In 2016, Culkin showcased his art gallery in the apartment to New York Magazine, revealing that he had been splitting his time between New York and France but ultimately preferred Paris, where he felt anonymous.
However, he soon discovered that even in Paris, people recognized him – they just didn't care. Today, Culkin lives with his wife, actress Brenda Song, and their two children in a five-bedroom, six-bathroom home in Toluca Lake, California, which they purchased from Kiefer Sutherland for $8 million in 2022.
The off-market sale of the loft has kept additional details under wraps, but its location near Washington Square Park and industrial-chic charm likely added to its appeal.
