ary Tyler Moore's former Connecticut mansion has been sold for $16.9 million, according to a press release from its listing brokerage. The property, a 13,825-square-foot Georgian Colonial built in 1900, was listed by Moore's widower, S. Robert Levine, in September 2023 for $21.9 million.

The sale marks the end of a nearly two-year effort by Levine to part with the estate, which he purchased with Moore in 2006 for $9 million through a limited liability company. The property boasts a stone facade, stretches across more than 13,800 square feet, and sits on a lush 7-acre lot.

The residence features five bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, two powder rooms, and a primary suite that encompasses over 2,000 square feet with dual bathrooms, dressing areas, and ample closet space. Luxury amenities include a glass-walled conservatory, an elevator, a fitness center with a hot tub, steam shower, and sauna, as well as a 65-foot swimming pool and outdoor fireplace.

The property was brokered by Joseph Barbieri of Sotheby's International Realty, who represented Levine in the sale. The buyer, shielded by an LLC in local records, was represented by Helene Barre and Fran Ehrlich, also of Sotheby's. Moore, a beloved TV icon, left an indelible mark on entertainment through her starring role in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and her Oscar-nominated performance in the 1980 drama "Ordinary People."
