he top home sales in Massachusetts for 2024 were concentrated in the Cape & Islands and Boston, with some streets making multiple appearances on the list. However, it's surprising that Martha's Vineyard didn't crack the top 10.

    According to The Warren Group and The Boston Globe, the top 12 home sales of 2024 were:

    1. $26,000,000 - A beachfront compound at 41 Jefferson Ave. on Nantucket was sold to the Nantucket Land Bank for $26 million.

    2. $25,000,000 - Penthouse 2E at 776 Boylston St. in Boston's Mandarin Oriental was sold for $25 million.

    3. $24,000,000 - A 1.25-acre estate on Shimmo Pond Road in Nantucket was sold for $24 million.

    4. $23,512,500 - Unit A at 150 Seaport Blvd. in the city's Seaport District was sold for $23.5 million.

    5. $22,750,000 - The sale of 835 Sea View Ave. in Barnstable set a record for the highest-priced real estate transaction ever recorded on Cape Cod.

    6. $17,000,000 - Unit E12A at the Mandarin Oriental and the estate at 13 Washing Pond Road on Nantucket were both sold for $17 million.

    7. $16,500,000 - A four-bedroom single-family home at 279 Marlborough St. in the Back Bay was sold for $16.5 million.

    8. $16,300,000 - A new-build estate at 218 Cliff Road on Nantucket was sold for $16.3 million.
