n the world of haute cuisine, few names shine brighter than Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The Michelin-starred chef has spent decades crafting unforgettable dining experiences that transcend borders and boundaries. Now, he's taking his culinary expertise to new heights – literally – with the launch of his first branded residence in Miami.
As we met with Vongerichten on the sun-kissed shores of the Magic City, it became clear that this project is more than just a real estate venture; it's an extension of his philosophy on living well. "Eating well is no longer just about food," he said with a smile. "It's about creating a lifestyle that nourishes both body and soul."
Vongerichten's journey began when developers Terra and Lion Development Group approached him to open a restaurant within their 48-story luxury tower in Miami. But the chef had bigger plans. He wanted to infuse his entire being into this project, from the kitchens to the living spaces. "I have many restaurants around the world," he explained, "but I've always dreamed of creating an ecosystem that brings people together."
The result is Jean-Georges Miami Tropic Residences, a 329-unit condo complex where every detail has been carefully curated by Vongerichten himself. From the high-end appliances in each kitchen to the bespoke pots and pans, even the food and beverages in your fridge will be handpicked by the chef.
Residents can expect world-class dining options at their doorstep, with three of Vongerichten's signature restaurants – ABCV, ABC Cucina, and ABC Kitchen – located within the building. The tower's interiors are designed by Yabu Pushelberg, while Vongerichten has taken charge of creating a holistic lifestyle experience that extends far beyond the walls of his eateries.
Wellness and pool areas will feature JGV-curated healthy eats and drinks, including fresh juices and house-made kombucha. A private rooftop restaurant for residents only adds to the allure, as does a floral shop, coffee shop, and podcast recording studio. With 41,000 square feet of amenity spaces and 27,500 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, this is more than just a place to live – it's a sanctuary.
As Terra's CEO, David Martin, put it, "These residences are not just about storing your stuff and sleeping; they're sanctuaries of the soul." And with Vongerichten at the helm, it's clear that this project will be a game-changer for Miami's Design District. With prices starting at $1.6 million for one- to four-bedroom condos, these residences are poised to become the ultimate status symbol for those who crave a lifestyle that's as much about living well as eating well.
