he Delaware Association of Realtors is launching its 2025 Minority Real Estate Scholarship, a program designed to boost minority representation in the state's real estate industry. By fostering diversity among professionals, the association aims to increase opportunities for minority homebuyers and enhance community development statewide.

    The scholarship offers financial assistance to help recipients launch their careers in real estate. Benefits include prepayment of the required 99-hour salesperson course, payment for the first licensing exam attempt, and a one-year waiver of Realtor association dues. Recipients also participate in networking sessions with fellow awardees.

    Eligible applicants are minority individuals from various ethnic backgrounds, including Latinos, African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, and Native Hawaiians. Preference is given to U.S. citizens who demonstrate motivation, flexibility, and a commitment to the industry. Applicants must be Delaware residents with a high school diploma or GED and provide three letters of recommendation.

    Applications are due by October 15, and the DAR board will review submissions in November. Awards will be announced in December, pending available funding and eligibility verification. Up to three scholarships may be awarded this year.
