iscovery Land Company and PMB Capital Investments are developing a 500-home golf-course community southwest of Fort Worth, dubbed Maverick Golf and Ranch Club. Spanning 1,100 acres off Aledo Road near Lake Benbrook, the project will feature multiple golf courses, trails, lakes, a sports complex, and an organic farm. The golf courses, designed by Tom Fazio, will include 18-, 12-, and 9-hole layouts.
This is Discovery's fourth development in Texas, following projects like Vaquero Golf Club in Westlake and Driftwood Golf and Ranch Club in Austin. PMB Capital has also been working on a $3 billion development for 5,200 acres west of Fort Worth.
The rapid growth of the surrounding areas has led to an influx of residential developments, including Lennar's 1,800-acre community, Ranchland, which will feature 4,000 homes and apartments. With Fort Worth surpassing Austin as the fourth-largest city in Texas, boasting a population of nearly 990,000, the area is experiencing significant real estate growth, driven by strong economic fundamentals and strategic developments.
